This summer, residents of, and visitors to Leicester or North West Leicestershire will be able to explore the local areas from a very unique perspective - an open-top tour bus.
Top Deck Tours is an open top sightseeing tour bus service that takes in the breathtaking views and ever-changing surroundings of the cosmopolitan and transformed Leicester city, and the breathtaking area of North West Leicestershire - including parts of the stunning National Forest.
Both tours provide a unique, relaxing and entertaining way to explore two of Leicester and Leicestershire's most popular areas.
The Discover Leicester Tour is running everyday from Saturday 12 July 2008 to Saturday 27 September 2008 and will visit some of the city's top attractions including New Walk Museum & Art Gallery, Jewry Wall Museum, Belgrave Road, Belgrave Hall & Gardens, Great Central Railway, National Space Centre and Abbey Pumping Station. The tour is timed to coincide with the launch of the new £350 million Highcross Leicester shopping centre on 4 September and will celebrate the completion of the first phase of major projects in the city's £3 billion regeneration programme.

The Heart of the Forest Tour is running every Saturday between 19 July and 30 August. Key attractions on the tour include the award-winning Conkers, dedicated to the natural world, Sence Valley Forest Park - a serene 150-acre lake and woodland beauty spot, Moira Furnace - an early 19th century iron-making furnace, Donington-le-Heath Manor house - a 13th century home once owned by gunpowder plotter, Everard Digby, and the recently opened National Forest Youth Hostel.

Both tours include insightful and humorous on-board commentary from a local guide and passengers can either stay on board for the full tour or hop off at any of superb attractions along the way, hopping back on a later bus.
